Synology FlashStation FS3400 24-Bay NAS
The FlashStation FS3400 runs on Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system which helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Its CPU is a 2.1 GHz Intel Xeon D-1541 Eight-Core with a burst frequency of up to 2.7 GHz, and its 16GB of DDR4 ECC Registered RAM, which be upgraded to 128GB, allows frequently-used files and applications to be quickly accessed.
Also featured are two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one expansion port which allow it to be connected to compatible devices, such as two RX1217sas or two RX2417sas expansion units for increased storage capacity. Network connectivity is achieved via the two 10 Gigabit Ethernet and four Gigabit Ethernet ports, all of which support Link Aggregation and Failover, allowing your stored data to be shared with users throughout the network. There is also one PCIe 3.0 x8 slot, which can be used for a 25/40GbE NIC expansion card.
For those who require RAID support, the FS3400 supports RAID F1, which is designed to work specifically with SSDs. RAID F1 unevenly distributes the overall workload between the drives, thus helping to enhance the storage pool and keep your data safe. Also supported is RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, each of which provides speed, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, JBOD is available.
The FlashStation FS3400 is engineered to be energy efficient. Not only does it offer four 80 x 80mm fans to help keep the system running cool at all times, its noise dampening design of 57 dB(A) makes for quiet operations. The server supports numerous scheduled power on/off cycles and hard drive hibernation to further minimize power consumption and operation expenses.
The Synology FlashStation FS3400 24-Bay NAS Enclosure operates using dual redundant 500W power supplies that run at 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and includes an accessory pack and two power cords.
